Cooking Equals Butterflies

I love butterflies because they are absolutely amazing, and you can compare them to anything in this life.  We, as human beings, are always changing, we might love to do something today but maybe tomorrow we love something new even more.  There are so many things that we can do in this life that I can’t even start to enumerate them.

Cooking is the same, is the metamorphosis we see in a butterfly.  The transformation of raw ingredients into a magnificent dish full of flavor and color.

I see my empanadas as beautiful as a butterfly, they start with the dough, then by adding the fillings they close becoming a cocoon.  After some time in the oven, they become the beautiful butterflies… they become my empanadas.  They evolve just as I have evolved throughout my life.

That’s why butterflies for me are like little miracles in my life.
